Abstract

Fields altitude Itatiaia arise from 2.000m altitude and extend over an area of 39 km2. 112 sampling units were mounted 10 x 5m (0.56 ha) in four areas (Campo Belo, Prateleiras, Altar and Aiuruoca) and sampled 11.828 individuals in 24 families, 42 genera and 77 species or morphospecies (sub-shrub, shrub and trees). Were also related to herbaceous plants, pteridophytes, bryophytes and lichens, which were not accounted for in installments, but are part of the qualitative analysis of the study, distributed in 36 families, 54 genera and 92 species or morphospecies. A total of 53 families, 94 genera and 169 species or morphospecies. Families with higher species richness were: Asteraceae (37), Poaceae (15), Melastomataceae (9), Ericaceae (6) and Lamiaceae, Iridaceae and Eriocaulaceae (5 each). The species were classified according to the forms of life Raukiauer, adapted to Brazilian conditions, sense - IBGE, predominantly hemicryptophytes followed phanerophytes. In general statistical analysis for both localities and for the phytophysiognomies, using MRPP and ANOSIM on Bray-Curtis dissimilarity, it was found that these are distinct floristically, but are not homogeneous or heterogeneous, that the probability of error is null and groups also differ in community composition. As for the geographical distribution of species, 35 are from the southeast and 27 southeastern and southern Brazil and 21 in South America.
