Abstract

The first NATIONAL LANDSCAPE SYMPOSIUM - Paths, Connections, and Research Possibilities was held from April 24 to 26, 2025, at the Federal University of Santa Maria, in the territory of the Fourth Colony UNESCO Global Geopark, in the Silveira Martins Multidisciplinary Space, a city that was the cradle of Italian immigration in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul. The beautiful landscapes of the place were the ideal backdrop for the diverse activities of the event, which integrated research groups from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, the Federal University of Pernambuco, the Federal University of Paraíba, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and the host, the Federal University of Santa Maria.
