Urban-regional dynamics in the Southern Amazon

Abstract

In her work entitled “Observations on the concept of city and urban”, Sandra Lencioni (2008) asserts that the practice of research is an exercise that is confused with choices. For this author, making a choice is an inherent resource in the analysis of phenomena. For this reason, intellect is the result of synthesis, an activity that only becomes possible through the necessary expenditure of time in research. Tensions and successes are common, which, for a good researcher, certainly becomes a motivator in the production of knowledge.
